Robot Rescue Challenge

Rescue Robot

Using the RoboCup Junior Rescue mat and the simulated chemical spill scenario, students will further their understanding of robotics and programming by embarking on a simulated rescue showing a real-life application of robotics. Students will be encouraged to analyse then verbalise the various facets of the challenge before they start programming. The rescue cannot be accomplished without combining thinking skills, programming, science and math's skills.

Some schools go on to enter RoboCup Junior after this session.
